No cloud is required for your home to run safely. The internet enhances; it never owns.
Habiwatt runs on a local Energy Edge in your home. If your internet fails, battery management, solar optimisation, EV scheduling, climate control and safety policies all continue.
When the cloud is unreachable you see a calm notice — “Your home continues to operate normally” — not an error code. Remote features pause; your house does not.
Occupancy inference and raw sensor data stay local by default. Energy summaries only go to the cloud when you allow it.
The cloud enhances the system. The cloud does not own the home.
