Questions

Frequently asked

Does Habiwatt work when the internet is down?

Yes. Habiwatt is local-first: battery management, solar optimisation, EV scheduling, climate control and all safety policies run on the Energy Edge in your home. A cloud outage limits remote features — it never stops your house.

Which devices does Habiwatt support?

Habiwatt speaks to solar inverters, home batteries, EV chargers, heat pumps, hot-water systems, flexible appliances and common sensor ecosystems through vendor adapters — including a Home Assistant and Matter bridge. Your devices appear in one consistent model; the protocols stay under the hood.

Can Habiwatt just decide things without me?

Only inside the rules you set, and per device you choose Observe, Recommend or Automatic. Every autonomous action shows its reasoning and can be overridden. Habiwatt can never touch your emergency reserve, violate comfort minimums, or change its own permissions.

What happens to my data?

Energy control, occupancy inference and raw sensor data stay in your home by default. You choose what reaches the cloud, you can export everything, and you can delete cloud history. Installer and support access is scoped, time-limited and audited.

How much can I actually save?

It depends on your tariff, solar size and flexibility — typical homes with solar, a battery and an EV see meaningful double-digit percentage reductions in grid cost. Habiwatt shows its estimate against a weather-normalised baseline, with the confidence level attached. If we are not sure, we say so.

Do I need new hardware?

You need the Habiwatt Energy Edge and compatible devices you likely already own. Habiwatt will also tell you what not to buy: if an upgrade doesn’t pay back, the recommendation is to skip it.
